Xinjiang identifies ICH inheritors

After half a month of online publicity, the Experts Committee of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region eventually identified the first batch of 229 regional ICH inheritors.
According to the regional cultural administration, the 229 people include 30 for folk literature, 71 for folk music, 17 for folk dance, 10 for Quyi, 57 for traditional manual techniques and 35 for folk-custom.
It is learnt that the eldest inheritor is now 101 years old while the youngest is 30 years old. [Chinese version is available on Xinjiang Morning Post]
