SASAC: central enterprises accumulate nearly 46,000 valid patents

According to SASAC’s statistics released on the 8th, the amounts of patent application and authorization of central enterprises increased significantly in 2007.
As of the end of 2007, the central enterprises have accumulated 45,547 valid patents. Patents for inventions amounted to 15,681, taking up 34.4 percent of the total.
In 2007, the central enterprises filed 21,374 patent applications, with an increase of 45.4 percent. The amount for invention patents reached 11,004, increasing by 53.9 percent and accounting for 4.5 percent of the national total.
Last year, the central enterprises had 10,014 patents authorized, up by 35.7 percent over the previous year. Authorized inventions patents reached 2,056, increasing by 16.0 percent and accounting for 20.5 percent of the total number. [Chinese version is available on SIPO.gov.cn]
