Website fined for copyright infringement

The Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court yesterday ordered Guangzhou Shulian Co Ltd to pay 50,000 yuan (US$6,579) compensation to Zoke Culture Group for infringing the copyright of SPL, a Hong Kong film.

Shulian runs a Website, www.poco.cn, which offered free film downloads.
