Fujian to Promote Intellectual Property

Fujian province has released a plan to protect intellectual property, gmw.cn reported this week.


The Intellectual Property Strategy Plan (2015-2020) points out that Fujian should improve socialized services and explore the commercialized operations for patent purchasing and storage to establish a risk compensation mechanism for intellectual property and cultivate the patent insurance market.


It focuses on intellectual property, information services, patents and copyrights. The plan emphasizes protection of intellectual property through organization, supervision and fiscal support.


To implement the plan, Fujian will build an industrial park, establish a service platform for copyright registration and set up a mechanism for warning and protection of intellectual property.


The plan also advocates Fujian to expand international communication, and encourages enterprises to “go out” for cooperation with Taiwan in intellectual property.
