According to related statistics, in recent years, the amount of IPR disputes and lawsuits on imitating famous brands has kept increasing, which indicated that Chinese enterprises have had brand protection awareness and phenomenon of imitating famous brands has become worse.

Such imitation has brought huge harm to the famous enterprises and consumers and it will severely block the innovation and development of China's independent brands and slow down the process of building up international brands by Chinese enterprises, which may result in influencing their international competitive power.

To better advance the protection and innovation of independent brands in enterprises and effectively restrain the imitation of famous brands, the website of Intellectual Property Protection in China (www.ipr.gov.cn) will hold an online forum on restraining imitation of famous brands and protecting enterprises' brands on November 29.

IPR expert Liu Chuntian, Director of Case Guidance Department of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce Lü Zhihua and Attorney of Beijing Unitalen Law Office Qi Yali are to be invited to communicate with netizens.
